About Pinjarra Community Garden

Where It Started

It started with an idea with a couple of friends who loved gardening and wanted to share their dreams and make it become a reality for the local community. The grand opening was in 2012, after many days & hours spent

Where It Is At Now

The past few years there have been a lot of changes in and around the garden.  People coming and going.  The garden itself changing.  New projects like the new roof, Air conditioning & heating in the building. hot-house & shade house coming to fruition ready for the moving of all the plants into their new home.  New soil bays. More tree planting. Lots of cleaning up and propagating. The garden is buzzing with activity and fulfilment of having done a great job.

Where We Are Heading

We are all in full swing organising a Native Garden & Walk Trail Pathway out the front of the new hot house/shade house with a grant from the "Stronger Communities Grant" - MLA Andrew Hastie.  Hopefully it will be finished in six months .

We are also moving the entrance to the garden to the front of the building, from the carpark, making it a lovelier entry.

The Future

We would love to see the garden becoming a busy community with garden lovers of every sort coming and going, sharing their passions, sharing their knowledge, making new friendships and becoming more involved in and around the garden.  What a wonderful place of serenity and beauty.  Gardening, good for the heart, mind, body & soul.
